Download Speed Slower Than What I Pay For Us
First Modem used: Netgear CM700
Second Modem used: Arris SB6190
Router used: Netgear Nighthawk R7000
I have just moved into a new apartment and had just set up internet service with spectrum. It was activated yesterday and immediately I had issues regarding my speed. I am using an ethernet cord from my router. Initially any webpage I was trying to load would load incredibly slow but my download and upload speeds were what I was paying for. My problem seemed to flip after I did an auto setup on the Nighthawk R7000 because I've used the router with a different modem at my old place and it worked like a charm. So I thought the settings might be an issue.
Now, any website loads at fast speeds but my download speed is very low yet my upload speed remains normal. I do have times where everything is working properly regarding download speeds but it only lasts a very short while before going back to a crawl. Ive been able to consistently stream netflix on my ps4 through wifi and watch videos on my computer through internet without any playback issues. I was using my netgear CM700 for the majority of this and thought maybe that it was a reason why after reading many poor reviews. So I purchased the Arris and am still having the same issues.
Ive checked the bonded channels on the modem and they all seem to be normal. Ive flashed back to the original firmware on my router. I have obviously tried different modems. They both activate with Spectrum easily. I've checked the Coax cable outside to see if there were any obvious issues like corrosion or rust and haven't noticed anything. I've called Spectrum and asked them to test the speeds themselves and they are getting normal download and upload speeds on their end. I am using the same computer throughout all of this. From when I lived at my other place to now. So it isn't any type of malware or virus.
I will post the bonded channel results and speedtest results below. Any ideas on why this is happening would be lovely. Thank you!
